Role Description The Lay Legacy Strikers are seeking passionate Head Coaches to lead our youth basketball teams in Charleston, SC. In our program, it’s bigger than basketball. We are looking for dedicated mentors who care about player development and leading teams. This is a non-profit, volunteer position strictly for the love of the game and the mentorship of local youth.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience running a basketball team at any level is required. Prior AAU coaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills: Strong basketball knowledge and excellent communication skills.
Logistics: Must have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to different cities for tournaments.
Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it); additional coaching certifications are a plus.
Screening: Must be able to pass a standard background check.
