Location: Seymour, IN and/or Jeffersonville, IN

Position Summary:

Heavy equipment operators are responsible for operating machinery, ensuring safety compliance, performing routine maintenance, interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with team members to complete construction and excavation projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

· Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it.

· Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order.

· Driving or controlling heavy equipment to complete tasks at the construction site.

· Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform tasks correctly.

· Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected scraps or waste.

· Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.

· Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.

· Observing safety codes at all times.

· Coordinating with other crew members to ensure precise movements and operations.

· Communicating with coworkers to interpret project specifications, as needed.

· Reporting injuries and other accidents to supervisor.

· Aiding coworkers to ensure the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.

· Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record; must provide own transportation to shop or work site each day (having your own vehicle Is essential).

· Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.

· Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

· Strength and stamina to perform physical work all day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs., push and pull up to 80 lbs., and stand or walk for extended periods of time.

· Ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions.

· Awareness of safety procedures and regulations.

· Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment with at least 3 years of operating experience.

· Class A CDL preferred.
