2026 Apprenticeship at Lawton De Pere

(5 possible apprenticeships/job descriptions)
                -Engineering: doing time studies on the casting process, where we can eliminate time in the process, etc (engineering would have other tasks too including quality audits and some modeling)

                -Foundry: Sand Test Lab (we test our sand a couple of times each week… this apprentice would be learning crucial foundry skills and manufacturing engineering skills)

                -Maintenance: mechanic for our forklifts and several other areas… greasing the lifts properly, oil changes, flushing and other mechanical needs (no operating the forklifts though) (this position may also spend several hours a week in our welding department too)

                -Pattern Shop: benchwork… helping out pattern makers with mainly wood patterns, table saws and bandsaws and other wood working shop equipment/hand tools.

                -Machining: prepping castings for shipping, painting, some bending and other tasks including tool cleaning, replacing, etc

PAY AND HOURS
$12-$15/hour
200 Summer Hours (Apprenticeship starts June 1st)
250 Hours during School Year (Those hours can be figured out with your mentor/site mentor)
**MANY DEPARTMENTS START EARLY IN THE MORNING, WORKING 4A-2P

REQUIREMENTS:
-Drug screening and respiratory fit are required
-2-3 hour physical and drug screen
-Jobs may entail some heavy lifting and mobility
