Also, work effectively with classroom teachers to coordinate the academic activities of suspended students and aids students in completing the assigned work.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education & Experience:
Must possess a high school diploma (or GED), and paprapo with some specialized training or experience in education. Also, must possess knowledge of a variety of academic subject areas, possess and have the ability to effectively apply methods for dealing with student misconduct. (0-2 years experience)
Specific Training/Skills
Job skills are required to perform tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Enforces adherence to established rules and regulations of the in-school suspension program and creates an effective climate for learning.
- Keep appropriate records of ISS attendance and teacher's submission of classwork
- Assists students assigned to the program with completing their regular classroom assignments.
- Communicates appropriate behavior, school rules, and regulations to students in the program; and explains to students the reasons for suspension and its impact on their education.
- Guides and encourages students to develop a positive attitude toward learning
- Reports inappropriate behavior by students to professional staff members
- Communicates with parents and classroom teachers regarding student behavior and progress.
