What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper-Oakmont North position at Lawson?
We are currently seeking a groundskeeper to supplement the contracted grounds keeping by maintaining the property in a clean, safe, and attractive condition at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Trash pick up
- Perform daily trash runs for property
- Routinely clean leaves and other debris from gutters
2. Inspections
- Responsible for proper usage of maintenance material and stock control, reporting shortages to the manager/maintenance supervisor timely.
- Assist as requested with the regular inspections, reporting all violations discrepancies and damage, including those incurred in contract services, during scheduled building checks, move-ins, move-outs, and regular work routine
3. Minor exterior repairs
- Perform with good workmanship all assigned maintenance/grounds projects promptly including but not limited to repair, replace or assist with fencing, minor woodwork and janitorial needs of the property.
- maintenance of play areas (raking, replacing sand), blowing of curbs and sidewalks as needed for debris, maintenance of office, lawn areas and flower beds, etc
4. Customer maintenance satisfaction
- Report all resident complaints and/or resident work requests to Supervisor
5. Other duties as assigned (not all inclusive)
- delivery of flyers, newsletters, or other resident notifications
- Assist other personnel with apartment turnovers as needed, including basic maintenance tasks such as touchup painting, installation of hardware such as shelving, switch plates, etc.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prefer High School diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn basic maintenance functions
- Some knowledge of horticulture (pruning, planting, trimming, and basic maintenance of plants and flower beds)
- Good human relation skills to deal with residents, peers and supervisors
- Ability to exercise good judgment and self-control
- Good DMV driving record
- Be available to report to work during any inclement weather event for property clean up and emergencies
- Compliance with standard safety programs and procedures
- Ability to drive a golf cart
- Enthusiasm, good attitude, trustworthiness, personal integrity, and honesty
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Physical Functions
Bending, kneeling, stretching, climbing stairs and ladders, squatting, lifting up to sixty (60) pounds, running and lifting over sixty (60) pounds occasionally.
