We’re looking for an experienced Tree Crew Leader with climbing experience to join our growing team!
Requirements:
- Proven experience climbing and removing trees safely
- Ability to lead and manage a tree crew
- Knowledge of proper pruning, removals, and rigging techniques
- Experience operating chainsaws, chippers, and other tree equipment
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)

- Climb trees using proper rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, and removal operations efficiently.
- Operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work and access hard-to-reach areas.
- Conduct rigging procedures for tree removal or branch pruning, ensuring stability and safety throughout the process.
- Use chainsaws and other power tools responsibly for cutting, trimming, and removing trees or limbs.
- Apply horticultural knowledge to assess tree health, diagnose issues, and recommend appropriate care or removal strategies.
- Follow strict safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents during outdoor work activities.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscape upkeep when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in tree climbing, tree removal, and rigging techniques.
- Strong knowledge of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and plant health assessment.
- Proficiency in operating bucket trucks and understanding of bucket operation safety procedures.
- Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping or planning purposes is a plus.
- Ability to perform rigging safely using ropes, pulleys, and other equipment to facilitate tree work.
- Experience with landscape maintenance tasks such general horticulture practices.
- Knowledge of dendrology (the study of trees) to identify species and understand growth patterns.
- Outdoor work experience demonstrating physical stamina and safety awareness in variable weather conditions.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.07 per hour
