Position overview:
As a key member of our team, you will support Project Managers in the successful delivery of construction projects by leveraging your industry knowledge and collaborative approach. In this role, you will help coordinate project stakeholders, manage critical documentation, and contribute to the efficient execution of work across all phases of the construction lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
Key responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers in planning and execution across all phases of the construction lifecycle
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and services
- Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with all project team members
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Prepare, track, and distribute project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and progress reports
- Compile closeout documentation including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and warranties
- Assist in preparing change order estimates and supporting documentation
- Prepare and analyze job cost reports for presentation to the management team
- Proactively identify and help mitigate project risks, delays, and budget challenges through effective communication and coordination
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of two years of construction experience or equivalent education
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with construction processes, documentation, and project workflows
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with construction management or document control platforms preferred
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is a plus
- Working knowledge of estimating methods is an asset
Job Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Salary: Based on skills and experience. The starting pay range is $38-$42 per hour. This position is non-exempt.
Work location: In person at our Sacramento, CA office. Travel to jobsites in the surrounding area, as needed.
