Trailerization Technician

Lawson Cryogenic Manufacturing & Repair LLC is a leader in the repair and maintenance of cryogenic and industrial gas equipment. Incorporated in 2016, Lawson Cryogenic has grown from one location with three technicians in Baytown, TX to two locations with 40 employees in 2026. The opening of our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gretna, NE in 2025 was a key step in Lawson Cryogenic’s growth and commitment to expanding its product offerings.

We are seeking a highly dependable and motivated Trailerization Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing structural and mechanical assembly of cryogenic tanker trailers.

Duties

• Perform structural and mechanical assembly of cryogenic vessels, including trailerization assembly of: upper coupler, landing gear, engine cabinet, pressure builder, chassis, piping cabinet, lights and wiring, airbrake systems.
• Ensure end product meets predefined specifications.
• Perform final inspections, including DOT Annual inspections as necessary on final product.
• Document/record assembly work performed in electronic logging system.
• Other duties helping in the shop as requested by supervisors/managers.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills.
• Solid work and attendance history.
• Knowledge of trailer suspension systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, and brake systems.
• Knowledge of piping systems, valves and gauges preferred.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• High School diploma/equivalent preferred.
• Cargo Tank Test & Inspection Training preferred.
• Experience with tanker trailer maintenance preferred.
• 1-year Brake Certification preferred.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and collaborate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work standing up, walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment, and speak and listen, both over the phone and in person to customers and fellow employees, in order to perform the above listed duties. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to work in a seated position, climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
