What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher of Piano position at Lawrence University?
Reports To: Director of the Lawrence Community Music School
Location: Appleton, WI
Job Status: Nine-month salary and full benefits
Job Responsibilities
Studio teaching of pre-college piano students, including private and group instruction. Guaranteed teaching load of 25 hours per week. Additional responsibilities at the Conservatory of Music in teaching class piano available to qualified candidates.
Preferred Skills
PPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
Master’s degree in music preferred with demonstrated excellence in piano performance, training in piano pedagogy, and evidence of superior teaching. Successful candidates will have taught a variety of ages and levels in both individual and group settings, with expertise in teaching young children.

Founded in 1874, the Lawrence Community Music School is a certified member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education. It is a division of the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, WI, and enrolls more than 1,000 students from throughout northeastern Wisconsin and upper Michigan.
