Primary Objective
Lawrence University is seeking an in-person Financial Aid Coordinator to support the Financial Aid Office and the Student Accounts Office. This role is the first point of contact for phone, email, and in-person inquiries from students and parents. This position partners closely with students and families to navigate all aspects of the financial aid process, including aid processing, and day-to-day office operations, while contributing to a responsive and service oriented team environment.
Duties And Responsibilities
This position will work collaboratively with other offices, specifically: Admissions, Financial Services, the Registrar’s Office, and Development; and other members of the Lawrence community. Additionally, opportunities to network with colleagues from other colleges and other members of the financial aid community are supported and expected.
Work requires problem solving and decision-making guided by established policies, practices, and procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Serve as the front-line support for Financial Aid and Student Accounts, which includes phone calls, monitoring the general email inbox, and greeting walk-ins.
- Assist with application materials, FAFSA and CSS Profile Profile file downloads, and updating student records.
- Process and review reports regarding student financial aid requirements, student account balance, and ensure compliance with Federal Student Aid regulations.
- Assist with the disbursement of payments, including outside scholarships, 529 plans, and private loans.
- Coordinate processing of institutional payments for special programs
- Maintain current knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs, software, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
