Position Summary: The ESL Educator will help close the achievement gap by providing standards-based and rigorous instruction to English Language Learners (ELLs) through individual, small group, and whole-class instruction. This position ensures students receive appropriate support and accommodations while actively collaborating with Grade Level Teams, ESL and Special Education staff, and the School Leadership Team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Teach, reinforce, and remediate academic content to ensure student mastery
• Provide instruction to individuals, small groups, and whole classes of ELL students
• Evaluate student progress and prepare measurable goals and objectives
• Modify instruction and classroom environments to meet the needs of ELL students
• Design and implement curriculum aligned to MA frameworks and WIDA standards
• Develop assessments to measure progress toward academic standards
• Use assessment data to inform instruction and refine curriculum
• Communicate consistently and professionally with students, families, and staff
• Provide appropriate accommodations and supports for all students
• Participate in curriculum design, professional development, and school-wide events
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, engaging learning environment
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and state policies and regulations
• Complete additional duties as assigned by school leadership Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
• Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL (preferred)
• Deep understanding of RETELL obligations and SEI requirements
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Experience with standards-based instruction and assessments
