JOB POSTING: ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL Assistant to the Superintendent, Student Information System Administrator, State Assessment Coordinator
Job Description:
Facilitate the efficient operation of the Lawrence School District by directly supporting the Superintendent as well as also serving in a leadership role to assist Administrative staff in the area of assessment coordination, state reporting, and administration of the district student information system.
Qualifications:
High School diploma is required. Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
Post-Secondary degree or secretarial/clerical experience in a public education environment/similar field is preferred
Performance Requirements:
- Knowledge of school district organization, operations, and administrative policies
- Excellent and effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and perform word processing; familiarity with Google Suite is preferred
- Accurately maintain and update District Information Systems (SWIS, PowerSchool Student Information, MDE systems) and documents relating to these systems as assigned
- Maintain an accurate knowledge base and comply with timelines relating to submissions/reporting required by federal, state, district, and school policies
- Lead in scheduling and rostering district students for all State assessments
- Support and assist the superintendent with day-to-day as assigned.
- Performs all related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the school district.
Terms of Employment:
Full-time, 12-month position beginning immediately
Salary will be commensurate with education and/or experience ( $31,000-$35,000)
Position includes paid sick leave, medical insurance, and participation in the State of Michigan Retirement System
Daily hours during the school year will be 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Summer Hours will be 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
