Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Conduct welding tasks and mechanical repairs to support manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with residential painting projects and general facilities upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
- Supervise junior technicians or contractors during maintenance tasks, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to execute complex repairs efficiently.
- Support facilities maintenance initiatives including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by following proper procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, improve processes, and enhance overall facility performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical systems is essential.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for facility aesthetic projects.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills to oversee maintenance teams or contractors effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration.
