Lawrence Paper Company
Lawrence Paper Company is seeking a Baler / Grinder Operator to join our Finishing team. This role is responsible for all activities associated with safely running the baler and grinder including operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
Responsibilities
- Make good, neat bales
- Operate hogger to hog up all unusable paper and corrugated scrap
- Hand tie wax bale wires
- Assist in two man feeds as necessary
- Maintain accurate bale reports
- Maintain inventories of bailing wire, wax and no wax tags, and scrap bales
- Operate a forklift in a safe manner when necessary
- Turn in maintenance work workers to supervision for needed repairs
- Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- At least one year of prior forklift experience is required
- Prior experience in manufacturing/production preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM
