What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Accountant position at Lawrence, Nelson & Associates, Ltd.?
Lawrence, Nelson & Associates is seeking an Accountant with tax preparation experience for our fast-growing office in Rice Lake. This is a full-time position which will include overtime during the tax filing season, but once the filing season is over, the rest of the year the office is closed on Fridays, giving us 3-day weekends from May through December. For the right person our growth provides an opportunity for ever increasing responsibilities, advancement and earning potential.
Responsibilities:
- Tax preparation and consulting
- Ability to work with QuickBooks Accounting Software and provide support to clients working with QuickBooks
- Ability to respond to clients and associates request in a timely, accurate and positive manner
- Ability to understand the work and use that understanding to solve problems
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years’ Tax Preparation experience preferred but not required
- Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred
