Position –Part-Time Hourly / Non-Exempt
Description
Individual will work with the Payroll/HR Administrator to assist with hiring both local and International employees and managing employee information during busy seasons. As a member of the Company Finance Team, this position will ensure accurate processing and recording of new hires, participate in data entry, record keeping, and employee support. Individual will work with different members of the team to ensure the companies are in compliance with all farm and job safety regulations. Individual will interface daily with upper-level management and employees in the field. This description lists the major responsibilities required, but is not all-inclusive.
Duties and responsibilities
The primary role of this position is to manage all aspects of hiring for each of the Lawrence companies. Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform daily hiring operations, ensuring compliance with required documentation for governmental and internal requirements.
- Work with Payroll Administrator to ensure hiring data is inputted into the required system timely and accurately.
- Perform routine data analysis to ensure current employment status is up-to-date
- Assist in company contractual relationships regarding H2A employees.
- Assist Payroll Administrator to ensure food safety & compliance reporting as needed, and record keeping for safety meetings and claims as needed.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality for employee records.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications may vary, but should include:
- High School Diploma/GED - College Education preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Bilingual – Spanish strongly preferred
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

Working conditions
This position will be an on-site office position that will require numerous hours at desk/computer. It may also require minimal activity in an orchard/vineyard/farming environment when working with Field Staff to assist in time-tracking or other issues that may arise
Physical requirements
Ability to sit or stand at a desk for numerous hours.
Direct reports
As a member of the Finance Team, this position will work closely with other members of the Finance Team along with members of the Field Staff at the farm, and managers at each of the Wine Tasting Rooms. This position will report directly to the Payroll/HR Administrator and may, from time to time, work with other members of the Management Team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
