Lawnmasters is looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Landscape Project Manager to join our Panama City team!

We're looking for someone who knows the landscape industry, understands how to turn a set of plans into a completed project, and can confidently manage crews, materials, schedules, and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in landscape installation, irrigation systems, and project management. This position requires someone who is just as comfortable working with landscape plans and computer software as they are walking a job site and directing crews.

If you're organized, dependable, knowledgeable, and take pride in delivering quality work, we want to talk to you!

What You'll Be Doing

Project Management & Field Operations

  • Oversee landscape installation projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate daily crew assignments, project schedules, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor job progress to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect work, troubleshoot issues, and ensure installations meet company standards.
  • Communicate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and team members throughout each project.
  • Identify potential problems and develop practical solutions to keep projects moving forward.

Landscape Plans & Installation

  • Read, interpret, and understand landscape blueprints, site plans, and installation specifications.
  • Translate landscape plans into clear instructions for installation crews.
  • Understand proper installation techniques for trees, shrubs, sod, mulch, drainage, hardscapes, and other landscape materials.
  • Calculate material quantities and coordinate ordering and deliveries.
  • Verify that installations are completed according to plans, specifications, and quality expectations.
  • Recognize and address site conditions that may affect installation.

Irrigation Knowledge

  • Understand irrigation system components, layout, and installation practices.
  • Read and interpret irrigation plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate irrigation installation with landscape construction activities.
  • Identify common irrigation issues and work with crews to resolve them.
  • Ensure irrigation work is performed according to project specifications and applicable requirements.

Administrative & Computer Responsibilities

  • Use computer software to manage project schedules, job information, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials, labor, and job-related expenses.
  • Review project plans, estimates, and work orders.
  • Communicate professionally through email, phone, and project management software.
  • Assist with project closeouts and tracking actual job costs against estimates.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in landscape installation, landscape construction, or landscape project management.
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, blueprints, and installation drawings.
  • Working knowledge of irrigation systems, including installation methods and components.
  • Strong understanding of landscape installation practices, materials, and equipment.
  • Solid computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, crews, and management.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing landscape installation crews or subcontractors.
  • Experience with commercial landscape construction projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating, material takeoffs, and job costing.
  • Knowledge of grading, drainage, hardscape installation, and plant materials suited to Northwest Florida.
  • Experience using landscape design software, digital blueprints, or construction management programs.
  • Relevant landscape, irrigation, or construction industry certifications.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

  • Knows the work. You understand landscape installation and can recognize when something is being done correctly—or when it needs to be fixed.
  • Can read the plans. You can take a landscape drawing and turn it into an organized, actionable project.
  • Is comfortable with technology. You can manage schedules, documentation, and communication without struggling with computers.
  • Takes ownership. You don't wait for someone else to solve problems. You anticipate issues and take action.
  • Leads by example. You can direct crews, maintain accountability, and earn the respect of your team.
  • Pays attention to details. You understand that quality workmanship and customer satisfaction are what build a great reputation.
