Job Summary
The Lawndale Elementary School District has 3 openings for Preschool Instructional Assistant. This position is a 10-month positions that accumulate one paid vacation and sick day per month of employment. LESD provides a $1,000 per year career enrichment program for employees. Requirements / Qualifications
Carson School (40hrs/wk Benefit Eligible)
Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm
Carson School (20hrs/wk)
Monday Friday 7:30 am -11:30 am
B. Mitchell School (20hrs/wk)
Monday Friday 10 am -2 pm

Candidates should have at least one year of experience working with preschool age children.
In addition, proof of immunization/verification (Senate Bill 792) is required for Pertussis, Whooping Cough, Measles and Influenza as well as proof of tuberculosis clearance and a health screen report. Possession of a valid California Driver's License, CPR/First Aid certification, and TB clearance is also required.
Applicants must have a high school diploma (or its recognized equivalent) and 12 units in Early Childhood Education. Per California requirements, a Child Development Assistant Permit is also required (per State Regulations). You will be required to pass an academic assessment test (conducted/provided by LESD).
