The Lawndale Elementary School District has an opening for a full time Special Education Instructional Assistant at Billy Mitchell Elementary. We would like to establish a pool to meet staffing needs. This position is a 10-month position that accumulates one paid vacation and sick day per month of employment. LESD provides a $1,000 per year career enrichment program for employees. Position available: B. Mitchell Elementary (1):30 hrs/week M/T/W/F 8:15 AM - 3 PM, TH 8:15 AM- 1:15 PM **Please contact Jen Ayala in the Special Education Department for specific position information; work hours, programs, and site location. Applicants must have a high school diploma (or its recognized equivalent) and pass an academic assessment test (conducted/provided by LESD). 48 Units or an Associates (or greater) degree from an accredited college/university is preferred. Some experience in working with school-age children in an organized setting is desirable.
