Job Summary - Bollard Installation / Gas Meter Protection Technician
Lawn Care by Walter is looking for dependable individuals to join our growing team installing protective steel bollards around gas meters throughout Northern Illinois.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and seeing a project through from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Install protective steel bollards around utility meters
- Dig holes using equipment and hand tools
- Set posts in concrete
- Measure and lay out installation locations
- Operate augers, and other equipment (training available for the right candidate)
- Maintain a clean and safe work site
- Work efficiently as part of a team
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver's license!!!
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable with excellent attendance
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and work safely
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, augers, or similar equipment
- Construction, landscaping, fencing, concrete, utility, or excavation experience
- Experience installing posts, bollards, or similar structures
- Experience installing bollards, posts, or performing concrete work
- Class A, B, or C Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Pay: $16.00 - $29.00 per hour
