Lawn Care Technician — $20–$25/Hour + Overtime

Lawn Pride of Patchogue–Bay Shore is hiring dependable, hardworking technicians for our fall aeration and overseeding season.

This is a seasonal, full-time outdoor position performing core aeration and overseeding services for residential lawn-care customers throughout Long Island.

Pay is $20–$25 per hour depending on experience. Overtime is available, with the potential to earn more than $1,200 per week during busy weeks.

Our team meets at our location in Holbrook, NY, at 7:00 a.m. each workday before leaving for the day’s scheduled properties.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial core aerators and overseeding equipment
• Perform core aeration and overseeding services on residential lawns
• Load and unload aerators, seed, equipment, and other job materials
• Follow an assigned daily route and complete scheduled properties efficiently
• Carefully operate equipment around sprinkler heads, landscaping, fences, driveways, and other obstacles
• Take required photographs and accurately document completed services
• Communicate professionally with customers when necessary
• Keep company trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and organized
• Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
• Follow all company safety procedures and service instructions

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to our Holbrook meeting location
• Able to consistently report to work by 7:00 a.m.
• Comfortable working outdoors in warm, cool, and changing weather conditions
• Able to repeatedly lift at least 50 pounds
• Physically capable of operating heavy, walk-behind aeration equipment throughout the workday
• Dependable, punctual, hardworking, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and respect for customers’ properties
• Lawn-care, landscaping, equipment-operation, or trailer-driving experience is preferred
• Previous experience operating a core aerator is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate

Schedule

• Seasonal, full-time position during the fall aeration and overseeding season
• Workdays begin at 7:00 a.m. in Holbrook, NY
• Hours may vary depending on the daily route, weather, and workload
• Overtime is available
• Some Saturday work may be available or required during the busiest part of the season

Compensation

• $20–$25 per hour depending on experience
