Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems to maintain lawns and landscaped areas efficiently.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, pruning, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, and installing hardscape features.
- Conduct seasonal tasks including snow plowing during winter months and general yard cleanup to keep properties pristine year-round.
- Assist with tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and evaluating the health of trees for safety and aesthetic purposes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping machinery and hand tools.
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly preferred; familiarity with horticulture practices is a plus.
- Ability to identify different plant species and diagnose common plant health issues effectively.
- Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and soil management.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when needed.
