Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks including trimming, edging, and installing landscape features
- Support the installation of hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures
- Perform lawn care activities including aeration, fertilization, and snow plowing during appropriate seasons
- Help with tree care tasks such as trimming, pruning, planting, and removal using appropriate equipment like excavators or hand tools
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or clogs and assisting with system installation or repairs
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and power tools effectively
- Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and snow plowing
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, planting, and soil preparation
- Familiarity with landscaping materials and hardscape construction methods
- Ability to use hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) safely and efficiently
- Experience operating machinery like excavators or other construction equipment is a plus
