Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily dental appointment schedules using dental practice management software such as PBS Endo.
- Review and update patient records, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone, email, or in person to confirm appointments, answer inquiries, and provide outstanding customer service
- Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and dental charts while ensuring confidentiality and security of health information
- Support front desk operations by handling multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments efficiently, and managing patient intake processes
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and health information management systems
- Experience with dental practice management software such as PBS Endo; familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Weave, Vyne is a plus
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing)
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for patients is non negotiable.
- Ability to review documentation thoroughly for accuracy and completeness in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Dental office experience is required.
