Medical Receptionist (1 opening)
Lawall Prosthetic & Orthotic Services is seeking a friendly, organized and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, providing excellent customer service, and supporting a busy medical office environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Check patients in and out (copay collections support)
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient information and documentation
- Assist with insurance and patient-related administrative tasks
- Coordinate with clinicians, physician offices, insurance companies, and internal staff
- Perform data entry and general office duties
- Support the team in providing timely and exceptional patient service
- General clerical duties include but not limited to; scanning charts into the EMR system, follow up calls to patients, use of email, phone, computers
- Limited travel to nearest locations for support
Qualifications:
- Previous receptionist, medical office experience preferred
- High level of organization, reliability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced office setting.
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Healthcare or insurance experience is a plus
