Job Title: Employment Law Associate

About the Role:
Our law firm client is seeking an experienced Employment Law Associate to join their team and provide high-quality legal support to employer clients. The Employment Law Associate will provide counsel and representation to employers on a wide range of employment matters. This role involves advising clients on federal and state employment law compliance, assisting in government investigations, and representing clients in employment-related litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Represent clients in government investigations and litigation of employment claims.
- Assist clients with wage and hour issues, workplace safety, restrictive covenants, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, family and medical leave, and employee separations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, policies, and related documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide guidance on emerging employment law trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop practical solutions for clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission in Florida.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on employer-side matters.
- Experience advising on employee relations, policies, compliance, and litigation.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must meet a billable hours requirement of 1,900 hours per year.
- Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a hybrid work environment.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $180,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
