Job Title: Construction Defect Litigation Attorney
Location: Simi Valley, CA (Hybrid)
About the Role:
Our law firm client seeks a skilled Construction Defect Litigation Attorney to handle complex residential and commercial construction defect matters. The ideal candidate has strong litigation experience, excellent case management skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction defect cases from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
- Work closely with construction and engineering experts to develop case strategy.
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and counsel regarding case progress.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and active state bar license.
- 3 years of litigation experience; construction defect preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
- Experience with complex, multi-party litigation is a plus.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $200,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
