About the role:
Prominent law firm is seeking any Newly Barred attorneys interested in Workers' Compensation - we welcome you to apply as the firm is willing to train. The ideal candidate will be incredibly organized, be able to prioritize tasks, consistently meet deadlines, and possess client service skills.
What you will do:
• Manage cases, prepare discovery, file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures and negotiate settlements under the supervision of a supervising attorney
• Communicate with assigned clients at least every 30 days
• Build up to handling a full caseload, which includes working the files from start to finish, making appearances, learning to conduct depositions, coming up with plan of actions, and ensuring files move towards resolution.
Our ideal candidate:
• 0-2 years of experience handling workers’ compensation cases
• Candidate will need to provide copy of passing (waiting to be sworn in is okay)
• Related insurance claims experience is a plus
• Subrogation/Civil Litigation experience is a plus
• Lien/creditor experience is a plus, but we have a lien specialist who handles all liens
