Immigration and Compliance Paralegal

The firm focuses on U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law with a growing emphasis on Form I-9 compliance, employment eligibility verification, and corporate immigration compliance programs.

The firm is seeking an Employment-based, Immigration, and I-9 Compliance Paralegal. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The primary focus of this role is assisting attorneys with preparation of Employment-based petitions and visas, consular processing as well as Form I-9 compliance services including conducting internal I-9 audits, reviewing employment eligibility verification documentation, identifying technical and substantive deficiencies, and assisting clients with implementing compliant hiring and record-keeping practices.

The paralegal will collaborate with attorneys and HR professionals to support I-9 compliance through audits, record management, training, and regulatory updates.

In addition to I-9 compliance work, the position includes supporting employment-based immigration matters by preparing petitions and applications, organizing supporting documentation for consular processing, maintaining case files, communicating with corporate clients, and tracking filing deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with Form I-9 compliance, employment eligibility verification, or employment-based immigration matters.
• Knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and employer compliance obligations.
• Experience conducting or assisting with Form I-9 audits, compliance reviews, or employment record examinations is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with government enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong skills in legal document preparation, compliance reporting, and maintaining detailed records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with corporate clients, human resources personnel, managers, and employees.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify compliance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple client projects
• Experience using electronic I-9 systems, case management software, or compliance platforms is preferred.
• Experience in an immigration law firm, employment law practice, or corporate HR/compliance department is preferred
