Plaintiff’s personal injury law firm seeks motion and appeals writer - with concentration in Labor Law
We are a high profile, growing plaintiff personal injury firm seeking an experienced Motion & Appeals Attorney with a strong background in New York Labor Law to join our team.
This is an opportunity for a skilled legal writer with a proven track record to take a lead role in shaping high-impact motion practice and appellate advocacy in complex, high-value cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including summary judgment, opposition, and post-trial motions
- Research and write appellate briefs in the Appellate Division
- Handle sophisticated Labor Law (200/240(1)/241(6)) matters and sophisticated premise matters from a writing and appellate perspective
- Contribute to other high-level drafting assignments as needed including drafting Notice of Claims and Standard Form 95 for Federal actions
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in New York Labor Law litigation preferred
- Demonstrated success in motion practice and/or appellate work
- Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
- Ability to craft persuasive, well-supported arguments in both Supreme Court and Appellate Courts
- Experience with Notices of Claim is a plus
- Must be prepared to provide writing samples reflecting substantive work

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level attorney who takes ownership of their work, writes with precision and authority, and has a proven ability to win or strongly influence outcomes through motion and appellate advocacy.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $125,000 plus, commensurate with experience and writing ability
