Position Overview
The Medical Records Assistant supports our legal teams by helping obtain, organize, and track medical records and documentation for client cases. This role plays a key part in keeping cases moving efficiently by ensuring records are requested, received, and properly documented.
This is a support-focused, high-volume role best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with requesting medical records and billing statements from providers
- Track outstanding requests and complete timely follow-ups
- Upload and organize records in SmartAdvocate (case management system)
- Maintain accurate case notes and documentation
- Review incoming records for completeness and flag missing items
- Support file preparation for case management, litigation, and settle
- Other duties as assigned
