We are a boutique law firm specializing in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Entity Formation and seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional looking to grow within a specialized and rewarding area of law.
This is a full-time position offering a collaborative and professional work environment. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running with minimal supervision and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality legal documents.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting and assisting with estate planning documents, including Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, HIPAA Authorizations, and Deeds
- Assisting with all phases of Trust and Estate Administration, including preparation of Trust Certificates, allocation to sub-trusts, and coordination with financial institutions
- Obtaining Employer Identification Numbers (EINs) and preparing IRS forms related to trust and estate matters
- Assisting with Entity Formation, including creating LLCs, Corporations, and Limited Partnerships, along with all supporting documentation
- Managing client communication and maintaining organized client files
- Coordinating with courts, financial institutions, title companies, and government agencies as needed
- Managing deadlines and supporting the attorney with case workflow
Qualifications:
- Prior paralegal experience is required — candidates without paralegal experience will not be considered
- Experience in estate planning, trust administration, and/or estate plan document drafting is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal practice management software a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Notary Public commission is a plus, but not required
