The Law of Chaunte' Sterling PLLC is in search of a Family Law Paralegal to join our team. We are a small firm based on the northside of Houston, Texas that primarily handles family law cases and criminal cases. We represent a diverse clientele who rely on us in some of the most trying times in their lives as such we are looking for a compassionate individual to join our team. The office currently consists of one attorney and we utilize an answering service.
We are looking for a candidate to assist with our family law cases, which include divorces, modifications, enforcements, SAPCRs, and adoptions. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH FAMILY LAW CASES.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
Salary is commensurate with experience.
