About Us:
The Law Offices of Ali & Associates, P.A. is a fast-paced immigration law firm dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to individuals and families navigating complex immigration matters. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Immigration Staff Attorney to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Immigration Staff Attorney will report directly to the Managing Partner and will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft immigration pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
- Prepare and file federal habeas petitions
- File documents with Immigration Courts and Federal Courts in compliance with all applicable rules
- Attend Master Calendar Hearings and represent clients in immigration proceedings
- Prepare clients for hearings, including reviewing testimony and evidence
- Maintain accurate case notes and ensure proper case management
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and external parties
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (required)
- Experience in immigration law preferred
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Strong communication and client interaction skills
Work Environment:
This is a fast-paced position with high expectations for productivity and accuracy. Candidates must be able to manage heavy caseloads and meet strict filing deadlines.
