The Law Office of Lawrence M. Centanni, P.C. is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Paralegal to join our growing practice. We are a fast-paced New Jersey law firm handling, landlord-tenant matters, real estate transactions and related litigation matters.
This position is ideal for a paralegal who can manage files independently, communicate professionally with clients and courts, and thrive in a team environment where responsiveness and attention to detail matter.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, notices, certifications, and discovery
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, title companies, brokers, and municipalities
- Assist with landlord-tenant matters, including filings, notices, and court preparation
- Assist with residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
- Prepare closing packages and litigation documents
- Handle client intake and case follow-up
- Support attorneys with general litigation and office operations
Qualifications
- Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience required
- Experience in a general practice law office strongly preferred
- Familiarity with landlord-tenant and/or real estate matters is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and legal document management systems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
