Associate Attorney – Family Law (4–8 Years)

The Law Offices of Kelly Berton Rocco LLC is a boutique family law practice seeking a 4–8 year New Jersey family law attorney to join our team. This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants real responsibility, direct client engagement, and meaningful courtroom experience in a collaborative, well-established practice.
About the Role
This is a hands-on litigation role for an attorney who can step into active matters and move cases forward independently.
You will:
- Manage your own family law caseload
- Handle motion practice, hearings, and court appearances
- Work directly with clients
- Draft pleadings, certifications, and legal arguments
- Participate in mediation, ISCs, and trial preparation
This is not a training role. The right candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of files while working as part of a supportive team.
Work Structure
- Initial onboarding: in-person collaboration a few days per week in Bergen County
- Long-term: primarily remote
- Required: court appearances and occasional client meetings in Hackensack
Qualifications
- 4–8 years of NJ family law experience
- Strong litigation and courtroom experience
- Ability to manage cases independently
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- NJ Bar admission
Compensation & Benefits
- $135,000 – $150,000 salary (commensurate with experience)
