Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Paralegal to join our legal team. The Family Law and Litigation Paralegal will work closely with attorneys on a wide variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, modifications, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prepare legal documents including petitions, motions, discovery, financial affidavits, parenting plans, and settlement agreements.
• Assist attorneys in preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Organize and maintain case files in both physical and digital formats.
• Manage deadlines and court calendars, ensuring all filings and disclosures are timely.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review.
• Gather, review, and summarize financial records, medical records, and discovery materials.
• Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional and courteous manner.
• Monitor case progress and provide regular updates to clients and attorneys.
• Assist with e-filing and service of documents through appropriate court systems.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in Family Law as a paralegal or legal assistant.
• Litigation Paralegal experience
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, writing, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset.
• Ability to assist with multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
