Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Legal Assistant. This position is primarily focused on Pennsylvania estate administration from probate through final distribution. The paralegal will play a central role in managing estate files, preparing court filings, coordinating asset transfers, and communicating with executors and beneficiaries. Personal injury assistance will be secondary and limited to case management support.
Primary Responsibilities
Estate Administration (Primary Focus)
· Prepare and file estate administration documents and prepare PA Inheritance Tax returns in 5 county Philadelphia area, particularly Delco. And Philadelphia
· Draft estate inventories, status reports, receipts/releases, and informal or formal accountings
· Prepare PA inheritance tax returns and supporting schedules
· Coordinate asset valuation, liquidation, and transfers
· Communicate regularly with executors, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel
· Track statutory deadlines, court compliance requirements, and tax filing deadlines
· Organize and maintain detailed estate administration files from opening through final distribution
· Assist with preparation for audits, objections, or court hearings when necessary
Personal Injury (Secondary Role)
· Open and maintain personal injury files
· Order and organize medical records and bills
· Prepare settlement packages and assist with lien resolution
· Communicate with clients and insurance carriers regarding status updates
· Track statute of limitations and litigation deadlines
Qualifications
· Strong written communication and organizational skills
· Ability to independently manage multiple estate files from start to finish
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to navigate Court and ROW online procedures
· 1 years paralegal experience preferred
· Experience in Pennsylvania estate administration preferred
· Familiarity with Delaware County and/or Philadelphia Orphans’ Court procedures
· Experience preparing PA inheritance tax returns
