Experienced Family Law Attorney
We are a law office seeking an experienced family law attorney to provide high-quality representation of our clients in a wide range of family law matters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to identify marital and non-marital assets and liabilities, and help strategize property divisions that are in the best interests of our clients.
- Develop case strategies for clients seeking custody or modifying custody, and assist in gathering evidence needed to advocate for them effectively in the courtroom or mediation.
- Supervise the drafting of pleadings necessary for all types of family law matters, staying up-to-date with the Texas Family Law Practice Manual.
- Attend court proceedings and participate in mediations as needed to represent clients.
- Collaborate with owner and paralegals to effectively move files through the litigation process.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients with regular status reports and case reviews.
- Consistently track time on all case matters and make improvement recommendations to team members.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of family law experience in and out of the courtroom.
- Bachelor's degree and J.D. degree required.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations.
- Ability to work with and delegate to a paralegal team.
- Comfortable advocating for custody for both men and women.
- Licensed to practice law in Texas.
