- Support litigation processes by reviewing documents for relevance and confidentiality, preparing exhibits, and managing document review workflows.
- Facilitate communication between clients and attorneys to gather pertinent information efficiently.
- Manage procedural tasks such as filing documents with courts or agencies, maintaining case calendars, and tracking deadlines to ensure compliance with legal procedures.
- Provide administrative support including data entry, transcription of legal proceedings or client meetings, proofreading materials for accuracy, and handling confidential information securely.
Experience
- Experience supporting multiple practice areas such as family law, personal injury, or criminal law.
- Familiarity with legal case management software.
- Knowledge of procedural law for local jurisdictions along with experience in document review and legal drafting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in client communication, maintaining professionalism with phone etiquette and written correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with familiarity with document management systems for efficient workflow management.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while supporting attorneys in complex litigation or transactional matters.
