Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with 5 years of experience in employment law to join a fast-paced plaintiff-side law firm in Woodland Hills. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting attorneys in employment disputes, wage and hour claims, discrimination cases, and other labor-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of employment law cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of statutes, regulations, case law, and deposition transcripts.
- Manage case files, organize exhibits, and maintain accurate documentation of all case activities.
- Coordinate and calendar depositions, hearings, mediations, and other critical deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Support trial preparation, including assembling trial binders, exhibits, and other materials.
- Assist with settlement negotiations and administrative filings with agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH, or NLRB.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of paralegal experience in employment law, preferably on the plaintiff side.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and court/agency rules.
- Proficiency with legal software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw, Filevine, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet strict deadlines.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 β $100,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
