Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense
Location: St. Louis, MO
We’re seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join a well-established law firm with a strong insurance defense and litigation practice. This opportunity offers the chance to work on a broad range of insurance defense matters while collaborating with a highly experienced team. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys handling complex litigation, analyzing legal issues, and providing strategic legal guidance to clients.
Role Expectations:
- Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from inception through resolution or trial.
- Defend insurers and insured clients in complex litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents
- Conduct legal research, take and defend depositions, participate in hearings, and assist with trial preparation
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active Missouri Bar admission (required)
- 2 years of experience in insurance defense or civil litigation
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $200,000 base. Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
