Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation defense matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions, appear in court, and argue motions
- Develop case strategies and advise clients regarding litigation risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and clients to deliver high-quality legal representation
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of California
- 2 years of civil litigation defense experience preferred
- Strong writing, analytical, and courtroom advocacy skills
- Ability to handle a significant caseload with minimal supervision
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $160,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
