Billable Requirement: 1,800 Hours Annually
Job Summary:
A well-established law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing litigation team across North Carolina. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with strong defense-side litigation experience who have handled complex insurance defense matters, product liability, catastrophic loss, construction litigation, and mass tort exposure including asbestos-related litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a broad range of insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Handle product liability, catastrophic injury/loss, construction defect, and complex civil defense matters
- Support and manage mass tort litigation, including exposure to asbestos-related defense matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and case evaluations
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active and in good standing with the North Carolina Bar (or ability to waive in)
- Strong experience in Insurance Defense Litigation
- Experience handling one or more of the following:
- Product Liability
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between [$180,000 β $250,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
