A well-established Texas-based law firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing Houston office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to build long-term experience handling a broad range of defense litigation matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The firm represents insurance carriers, businesses, and insured clients in complex civil litigation matters across Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Handle insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and reports
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Manage discovery, document review, and fact investigations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance defense or civil litigation
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience handling depositions, hearings, or motion practice is a plus
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 β $200,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
