Position Overview
This firm is seeking an experienced Discovery Paralegal to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented litigation professional who thrives in a fast-paced plaintiff litigation environment and enjoys taking ownership of cases from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while supporting attorneys on complex, high-exposure matter
Responsibilities
- Manage and track discovery deadlines and responses
- Draft and prepare discovery requests and responses
- Organize, review, and maintain case files and litigation documents
- Coordinate document productions and record collection
- Assist attorneys with case preparation throughout the litigation process
- Review, summarize, and organize medical and other case-related records
- Communicate with clients, experts, medical providers, and opposing counsel
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines
- Assist with deposition preparation, mediation preparation, and trial support
Qualifications
- 1 years of Paralegal experience
- Discovery experience must required
- Civil Litigation experience required
- Strong organizational and case management skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced litigation environment
- Knowledge of California court procedures preferred
Preferred Background
- Plaintiff-side litigation experience
- Medical Malpractice experience
- Personal Injury experience
- Trial preparation and litigation support experience
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000 – $100,000 Base
- Holiday Bonuses
(Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate)
