Job Title: Medical Records Clerk, Social Security Disability
The Law Firm of Alex Dell, PLLC is seeking a Medical Records Clerk for our Social Security Disability Department. A Medical Records Clerk will be heavily involved with assisting the attorneys with obtaining up-to-date medical records while meeting intermittent deadlines from multiple sources for client hearings.
Responsibilities & Duties
Reviewing files for preparation of upcoming hearings
Preparing and sending out any and all medical records requests
Consistently communicating and following up with hospitals and medical providers to obtain records
Reviewing and completing daily to-dos and dockets
Scanning and filing records into clients’ electronic files
Communicating with management and attorneys, including providing a daily report to supervisor on pending issues and matters
Performing other duties as assigned by management and attorneys of the Firm
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
HIPAA and PHI compliant with ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to adhere to strict and time sensitive deadlines
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar
Ability to multi-task and maintain consistent professionalism within a high volume office environment
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently within a team-based structure
Reliable and excellent time management skills
Must be able to jump into existing caseload and move cases forward
Research and problem solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new technology
Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful, but not required
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
