Job description:
- Manage and review of Gift, Estate and Trust tax returns
- Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client industries
- Prepare internal memoranda, written correspondence/ guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS, Treasury Department, or other taxing authorities
- Manage tax planning for trust and individual income taxes
- Handle multiple engagements at one time and meet deadlines
- Produce deliverables that are clear, concise, thorough and of professional quality
- Provide guidance and feedback to staff and interns
- Provide technical training and participate in mentorship program
- Dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of clients
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- CPA or JD certification
- 5 or more years of experience in public accounting
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Tax
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Highly detail-oriented, organized and proactive
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service focus
- Strong computer skills; knowledge of ProSystem Tax and Engagement a plus
- Technical skills reflective of experience
- An ability to work within a team framework and comfortable reporting to multiple people
