Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Cranston, RI, for a Purchasing/Inventory Control Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for generating purchase orders and managing the receipt, inspection, unpacking, and storage of incoming tools, supplies, and support equipment. You will review and approve invoices, ensuring that all required documentation is accurately forwarded to Accounts Payable in accordance with established procedures. You will issue tools, supplies, and equipment to manufacturing team members while maintaining organized and well-kept tool room operations by returning items to their designated locations and ensuring company property remains clean and properly maintained.
Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of all tools, supplies, and equipment issued and returned, and support inventory management by generating and evaluating re-order recommendations to maintain optimal stock levels. The role requires collaboration with other departments, vendors and suppliers. Your responsibilities will also include re-stocking tooling, equipment, and supplies, conducting periodic price comparisons among suppliers to support cost efficiency, and performing random inventory counts to ensure accuracy. You will investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies or deficiencies, assemble and disassemble tool kits to meet manufacturing requirements, and evaluate used tooling to determine whether items should be reused, resharpened, or scrapped.

Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Previous machining experience is beneficial but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, along with experience using inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with Epicor software is a plus.
