CNC Machine Operator- Lathe, Twin Turret, Milling and Swiss turns
Full-Time
Available Shifts
Monday through Friday
First shift: 7:00am-3:00pm
Second shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm
Third shift: 11:00pm-7:00am
Second Shift: Additional $1.50 per hour
Third shift: Additional $3.00 per hour
Wage range- $17-$23
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for making quality parts on either CNC Milling, Lathes or Swiss Turns, under a supervisor or other team members directions.
- Responsible for loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, changing tools, deburring and any other secondary operations required.
- Responsible for measuring and qualifying parts using all hand measuring devices and documenting measurement on control chart.
- Responsible for reading all written operating and inspection instructions specific to the job.
- Responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints as it relates to the job you are running.
- Responsible for reporting any quality, safety, equipment malfunctions, or any other issues to department manager and or supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping work area neat and organized and equipment clean.
- Communicates with department manager, supervisor, engineers, quality and other team members for assignment and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- Required to follow all company rules and regulations, safety procedures and ISO Quality Program and procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned by department manager or supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely operate a CNC Milling, Lathes or Swiss turns independently
- Ability to maintain necessary work flow, possess a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctually standards.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with other team members
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6 months-1 year related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Constantly standing for entire shift
- Frequently machine operators will be bending, twisting and reaching between machine and workstation.
- Frequently machine operators will be using repetitive motions such as simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, and foot movement.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Primarily working in a manufacturing shop environment, may have exposure to warehouse equipment, dust, and noise hazards.
- Required PPE: Steel toe shoes that meet ANSI standard Z41.1-1967. Safety glasses, and hearing protection in required areas.
